The frost spiders greatest strength is in its high dexterity. The only other tamable that compares is the drake. Though they are not the strongest sub 90 creature, their dexterity more than makes up for it. They are very hardy critters, capable of demolishing polar bears without any sort of healing. Unlike their cousin, the giant spider, they are non-poisonous.
