If you're reading this, you're on the new server. The forum doesn't seem to be letting anyone log in, not quite sure why yet. Hopefully, that will get fixed within the next few days.
Update: Forum appears to be working again. I hope. Send me an email if you find anything broken.Category: General News
I realize this is short notice, but the Taming Archive will be going down for an unknown amount of time. For those unfamiliar, Generic Player's work has been hosting this site, and he is no longer going to work there. The site will come back up once we get a co-locate set up in Toronto. Hopefully, the down time is minimal.

Greywolfe announced on the UO boards that uo.com updated much of their beastiary information in the playguide.
Unfortunately, animal
class tameables have not been updated updated, and there are many values in their updated guide that are obviously wrong. There are a fair number of monster
class tameables that are missing, such as the fire steed, white wyrm, predator hellcat (the one listed has the little cat's stats, but the predator artwork), and drakes.
Some of the values have been updated within the tameables chart here on the Archive to match that information, except where the data listed in their guide was way off from data we've gathered. You can tell which ones have been updated by looking at the taming chart. The ones updated today have a space between the hyphens for the damage ranges (ie. 11 - 17), while the older ones are left blank or lack the space (ie. 3-12).

It would be just my luck that Napa would go down and revert to where I'm with my unicorn at the poison elemental spawn. And of course, as my luck would have it, she's already dead by the time I get in. So guess what I find when I resurrect her? That instead of having 210 hp, she now has a max of 176, despite her 310 str. See the screenshots here. For those unwilling to pull out a calculator, that's a loss of 32 overall hp, putting her at about -43% hp.
Way to go on this wonderful expansion. I'm 1030 in the queue, waiting for a GM who will probably tell me I cannot help thee with that
.
Update: After logging out for the night, it appears her hp returned to the normal 210. The hp loss may have been attributed to a bugged curse spell casted by the poison ele before her death, even though its effects lasted for several minutes after resurrection. Whatever it was, it was gone the next day.

I noticed yesterday on TC that fire breathers were doing more damage with their fire breath than before. A whole hell of a lot more. As in 20% of their hit points (or 12% of their strength), instead of around 5%. I tweaked the database display so that it reflected this. Then, I noticed that meant a dragon would do 97 damage in one shot. I thought this had to be some sort of mistake. It wasn't.
I went out to find a dragon. I had recently sacrificed and was just riding around on a fresh uni, so I really didn't have much to lose. I have 97 hp and was at full health. I was dead in one shot, while wearing absolutely no armor.
Let this be a lesson to anyone who intends on taming a fire breather post AoS: take as much fire resistance as you can get.
